AutumnHerd Walk
The club were invited to the Luxtons herd at Okehampton on 6th October. Stuart Luxton started with an introduction to the farm and the Luxton herd. We then had time to look around the stock housed indoors before boarding a couple of bale trailers and taken on a tour of some more splendid stock in various fields, finishing our tour just before the heavens opened!
After the outdoor tour, we were treated to a tour of the butchery room at the Luxtons farm shop followed by a delicious carvery lunch in the farm shop cafe.
Our grateful thanks go to Stuart and family for hosting such a great event.
